About 4 hours through the city the French built and Morocco remade: downtown Art Deco and Mauresque facades, Mohammed V Square, the 1930s Habous Quarter and the old medina.

Is the old medina safe to walk?

By day with a guide, yes — just keep bags zipped in the crowded lanes. We don't route it after dark, and the Habous Quarter is the calmer choice for shopping either way.

How much does it cost?

From 900 MAD per group of 1–4 guests, 1,200 MAD for 5–8 and 1,500 MAD for 9–13. Hassan II Mosque tour tickets (140 MAD per foreign adult) and other entrance fees are extra.

Can we go inside the Hassan II Mosque?

Accepted Answer

Only on the official guided tour run by the mosque's foundation — it's one of very few Moroccan mosques non-Muslims can enter at all. Slots follow a seasonal grid with no tours over Friday midday; tickets (140 MAD for foreign adults) are bought at the on-site ticket office, and you should arrive 30–45 minutes before your slot. The ticket isn't included in our price, but we schedule the whole walk around your slot.

What's the dress code for the mosque tour?

Shoulders and knees covered for everyone — no shorts, sleeveless or crop tops. Women do not need to cover their hair. You carry your shoes inside in a bag provided at the entrance.

Old Medina or Habous quarter — which is better for shopping?

Accepted Answer

The Habous quarter, the calm 1930s "New Medina", is cleaner and easier for browsing olives, brass and Moroccan sweets. The Old Medina is atmospheric by day but keep valuables close in the crowded lanes, and it isn't a place to wander after dark.

Is Casablanca really walkable?

The city is spread out, so this tour clusters the walkable core: the mosque, the Old Medina and the downtown Art Deco streets. For the Corniche at Ain Diab — best in the late afternoon and after sunset — take the Casablanca Private Tour with a driver (/private-tours/casablanca).

Yes — the mosque switches to a reduced tour grid during Ramadan and monument hours across the city shorten, while tourist restaurants and hotels serve normally. We reconfirm the current schedule before your date and adjust the route.
