Yes. Tastings at every stop are included in the tour price; full sit-down meals are not. Tell us about allergies or dietary needs when you book and your guide plans the stops around them.

What will we actually eat?

Whatever the souks do best that day: msemen straight off the griddle, olives and preserved lemons, spices and dried fruit, slow-cooked tanjia and mint tea — finishing among the smoke of the Jemaa el-Fnaa food stalls.

What time does the food tour run?

Late afternoon works best: about 4 hours through the souks, timed so you reach Jemaa el-Fnaa at dusk, when over a hundred food stalls are cooking. Morning departures are available if you prefer quieter lanes.

From 900 MAD per group of 1–4 guests, 1,200 MAD for 5–8 and 1,500 MAD for 9–13, tastings included. Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the tour starts.

Is the food actually included?

Yes — tastings are included in the tour price. This is the one walking tour where eating is the point: come hungry and treat it as your meal for the evening.

What time should we start?

Evening is best. Jemaa el-Fnaa's food stalls set up from about 16:00–17:30 and over a hundred are cooking by 18:30, so a late-afternoon start finishes on the square at full tilt. Morning departures work too, but you trade the night-market finale for souk snacking.

Can you handle vegetarians or food allergies?

Vegetarians eat well — vegetable tagines, breads, olives, msemen, fresh juices. Tell us about restrictions when you book. For severe allergies be cautious: street stalls share grills and surfaces, and we cannot guarantee zero cross-contact.

Is street food in Marrakech safe?

The tour sticks to busy stalls with high turnover — the food is cooked in front of you and doesn't sit around. Your guide knows which vendors locals actually queue at. Drink bottled water and you'll be fine.

Does Friday affect a food tour?

Accepted Answer

Evening tours barely notice it — the square's food stalls run as normal after sunset. Daytime tours will find parts of the souk shut from late morning to around 14:00–15:00 for Friday prayers, so we route tastings accordingly.
