About This Tour
A one-way private crossing from Marrakech to Fes with the Sahara at its heart — your own vehicle and driver, no shared van, no fixed script. Day one climbs the High Atlas over the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m) to the UNESCO ksar of Aït Benhaddou, then Ouarzazate and the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs into the Dadès Valley, where you overnight with dinner and breakfast. Day two winds through the Dadès and Todra gorges and the Tinghir palmeraie before Erfoud and Rissani deliver you to Merzouga by late afternoon — in time for a camel trek over the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset, dinner and Berber drums at a desert camp. Day three starts before dawn with sunrise over the dunes and the camel ride back, then heads north through the Ziz Valley, Midelt, the Azrou cedar forest with its Barbary macaques and alpine Ifrane, reaching Fes in the late afternoon. We keep the standard, sensible structure — Dadès first, camp on night two — so the long first drive is broken by real stops rather than rushed. Your driver is a driver-guide who flexes the stops to your interests; licensed monument and medina guides are arranged separately where required. Transport is priced per vehicle, so the per-person transport cost falls as your group grows; accommodation and half-board are added per traveller.

Accessibility
A long-distance mountain-and-desert route with several hours of driving each day over high passes (Tizi n'Tichka) with switchbacks. Gorge walks (Todra/Dadès) and Aït Benhaddou involve uneven ground, steps and river crossings; the medina lanes in Fes are steep and car-free. The camel trek and the soft-sand approach to the desert camp are not step-free — a 4x4 transfer to camp can be arranged, and the camel ride is optional. Not suitable for wheelchairs or limited mobility without prior arrangement; tell us your needs so we can adapt the route and vehicle.
